Activate your skin's collagen

What is Skin Collagen Support?
Skin Collagen Support features a unique combination of five skin supporting ingredients to help activate your skin’s collagen to help produce collagen from protein.

Your clients may consume pills, powders or drinks containing collagen, but this may not be necessary”, says Lorraine Perretta, Head of Nutrition for Advanced Nutrition Programme™.

“Collagen is made from amino acids found in protein foods. Most of us have enough of these in our diet, so the body already has the building blocks it needs to make its own collagen. What your clients need are the synergistic nutrients to make this process of converting amino acids into collagen more efficient, and to protect the fibres once they’ve been created. There’s little point consuming products containing collagen if you haven’t got the co-factors to assimilate it into the skin.”

Ingredient science.
Packed with a synergy of skin specialist ingredients, NEW Skin Collagen Support helps to support collagen production* from within for supple, younger-looking skin. This new supplement brings together the power of five ingredients: Vitamin C, Zinc, MSM, Grapeseed extract and Melon concentrate rich in Superoxide Dimutase (SOD). Working together these collagen production specialists help to increase skin elasticity, minimise the appearance of fine lines and promote a smoother-looking appearance. By activating the skin from within, this supplement diffuses anti-aging technology throughout the body.

A pilot case study conducted at iiaa Skin Health Research Centre on 15 people (average age 45.3), showed:

  • 85% of individuals experienced anincrease in elasticity around the crow’s feet/eye contour**.
  • 77% of individuals experienced an increase in elasticity, reduction in wrinkles and an increase in skin smoothness in all areas**.

* Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin.
**IIAA internal study involving 15 people, men and women. Run over 12 weeks. (Average age 45.3)

Found in the dermis area, collagen makes up approximately 80% of our skin and works in synergy with elastin to help keep our skin firm and resilient. Reports have showcased that from our mid- twenties, individuals begin to lose 1 percent of collagen per year. By the time we reach our mid-40s, collagen levels will have decreased by approximately 30% which cause lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness. Modern-day living can expedite this decrease with extrinsic and intrinsic factors such as pollution, stress, diet, lifestyle choices (smoking), and exposure to UV rays working to accelerate aging by speeding up collagen degradation.

Research has shown the benefits that vitamins, minerals and antioxidants can help support overall skin health and collagen formation*.

After auditing new, emerging studies with strong, traditional research, the nutritional and pharmaceutical experts at Advanced Nutrition Programme worked on this “next generation” formula to simultaneously build, activate and protect both collagen and elastin which act as the “scaffolding” for our skin. Skin Collagen Support fuses together five key ingredients which have a combination of over 150 studies showcasing their benefits to the skin.

1.     VITAMIN C – “builder” - Did you know that the basic structural shape of collagen is a triple helix strand? A collagen fibre cannot twist itself into a tight strengthening spiral without Vitamin C. If collagen fibre cannot twist itself into the right shape, it gets degraded. Vitamin C plays a pivotal role in collagen production and is included to contribute to normal collagen formulation for the normal function of the skin.

2.   ZINC – “builder and protector” – zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and also plays a protective role by enhancing stability of collagen fibres and shielding the skin from oxidative stress.

3.   MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) – “builder” – MSM is a sulfur-containing compound found in food such as fruit, vegetables, grains and milk but contemporary farming practices have declined dietary intakes.

Sulphur has been shown to enhance wound-repair and prevent cross-linking of collagen.

4.     GRAPESEED EXTRACT – “protector” – grapeseed extract is a concentrated source of antioxidants known as polyphenols. Advanced Nutrition Programme have used a specific extract from the Champagne region of France. This antioxidant complex attaches itself to collagen to help block the harmful effects of destructive enzymes such as collagenase. This protective action strengthens collagen protein, improving elasticity and resiliency.

5.     MELON CONCENTRATE with SOD – “protector”- SOD (Superoxide dismutase) is an antioxidant enzyme

found in all living cells within the body which plays a huge role in fighting free radicals and inflammation (inflammaging). This ingredient plays a key role in soaking up any superoxide molecules which can cause damage within the body.

Take two capsules daily. Each pot features a 30 day supply. Our skin researchers recommend to use for minimum of 3 months to experience optimum benefits. Continued use will contribute to ongoing results.

All ages from 25 years onwards. Younger clients looking for protection and older clients seeking support for collagen production.
